Six decades of practice
A legacy you can see across Detroit.
Founded by Howard F. Sims, FAIA, SDG has been headquartered in Detroit since 1964. The firm's work includes some of the city's most recognizable buildings, including the Charles H. Wright Museum, Robert Millender Center and major work at Huntington Place.
The practice continues across civic, educational, transportation, residential, commercial and preservation work.

Detroit Food Commons brings together a cooperatively owned grocery store, shared-use kitchen, event facilities, office space and outdoor vendor space in Detroit's North End. SDG served as architect on the community-centered development.
